The Salem Wildcat Booster Club is hosting a sprint triathlon and 5k on Sunday, August 4th. The event will be held at the Salem Family Aquatic Center. The triathlon will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will feature a 400m serpentine pool swim, about 13 mile fast out and back bike ride up Highway 37, and a 3.1 mile run. The 5k race will begin about 5 minutes after the final swimmer exits the pool and will use the same route as the triathlon. This is a beginner friendly course for new triathletes, and an opportunity for a PR for those more experienced.
