A 40-year-old homeless Centralia man is back in custody at the Marion County Jail on multiple charges less than a week after being released on cashless bond.
Centralia Police arrested Kyle Roe on new charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, two counts of threatening a public official, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass to land on Saturday.
He had just been released from jail on Tuesday after being charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct following another altercation with police last weekend. After refusing to go to court Monday, he was released on pre-trial conditions last Tuesday.
Details on the latest arrest on Saturday are not yet available from Centralia Police.
Roe had been arrested last weekend after police had encountered him the fifth time for yelling and screaming and being disorderly in the 1300 block of South Maple. While disorderly conduct is not an allowable charge to be brought to jail, the State’s Attorney authorized his arrest due to the repeated violations. At that time, Roe is accused of placing the officer trying to arrest him into a headlock and throwing him to the ground, breaking the officer’s glasses. Police say Roe was eventually taken into custody after being pepper sprayed.
Roe is now being held in the Marion County Jail until a final decision on new charges and an expected Monday appearance in court.
