A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy saved the day for a woman traveling on I-57 north of Salem early Saturday morning who discovered a large bug in her car.
Initially, the woman pulled to the side of Interstate 57 and got out of the vehicle with her son. After State Police reportedly told her they were too busy to help with the ‘bug’, the woman got back into the car with her son, with the roach still present, and called the Marion County Sheriff’s Department for help.
A deputy agreed to meet her at the Farina service station to help. The deputy reportedly found a ‘Texas size roach’ sitting on top of a box full of items. He was quickly able to squash the roach and end the problem.
When asked if she wanted to keep the squashed roach, the woman declined.
