Greenview Golf Course in Centralia is the site for today’s a boys golf sectional. The Salem Wildcats will be represented by Luke Light. He will be joined individually by Nate Rakers of Breese Central. The teams competing today will be Highland, Mascoutah, Benton, Carbondale, Jacksonville, Chatham Glenwood, Mattoon and Paris.
The 1a boys sectional will be hosted by Zeigler Royalton at the Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort. Individually competing will be Christ Our Rock’s Parker Boehne as well as Wesclin’s Carson Wessel and Luke Serrano and Dylan Clark of Okawville. The teams competing today are Mater Dei, Althoff, Vandalia, Marquette, Oblong, Carmi, Hamilton County, West Frankfort, Gibault and Trico.
Yesterday at the Pekin 3a Sectional, Lincoln-Way Central won the event shooting 312 followed by Sandburg and Lockport with O’Fallon 5th. O’Fallon’s Stephen Gallagher was 6th, Alex Pineda and Luke Jackson tied for 10th. Carter Crowe of Edwardsville finished 60th.
