The Franklin Park Bobcats play for the Class L State Title this afternoon at Rotary Park in Centralia as they take on Benton for the SIJHSAA crown starting at 1pm. You can listen on AM 1350, 92.1 FM as well as streaming at WJBDradio.com. Salem enters at 15-0 while Benton is 11-5.
The first game of the day will be the 3rd place contest at 9:30 a.m. between Highland and Marion.
The Class M and S Tournaments are at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Pinckneyville. In Class S this morning at 9am the 3rd place game will feature Our Lady of Mount Carmel taking on St Joseph Catholic followed by the championship at 1 with Cisne and Waltonville.
Then Class M takes center stage starting with the 3rd place game at 1 with Hardin County and Albion followed by the championship at 3pm with Christopher and St Boniface, Edwardsville.
The Willow Grove/St Mary’s Centralia Wildcards will play for the Class S state softball championship today at 11am when they play Coulterville. Willow Grove is coming off an 11-8 win over New Hope in the semifinals. The 3rd place game opens the days events at 9am with Dongola and New Hope.
In Class M, the 3rd place game is at 1 with Nashville and Crab Orchard followed by the title game at 3pm with NCOE and Pinckneyville.
In Class L, Carlyle will play for 3rd at 10am against Carmi followed by the title game at 1 with Murphysboro and Carterville.
