Both Jefferson and Wayne Counties remain on the medium level for COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The latest weekly report from the CDC Tracker shows six new hospitalizations in Jefferson and Wayne Counties.

The rest of South Central Illinois remains at the low level.  Marion and Washington County have had three new hospitalizations, Clinton and St. Clair Counties 13, and Fayette and Effingham Counties two.  There were no new hospitalizations in Clay or Jasper Counties.

Statewide, there are just eight counties at the medium level for COVID-19 hospitalizations.  Two of the others are in deep Southern Illinois, two others south of Chicago, and the third group includes two counties in the Quincy area.
