The Salem Lady Wildcat bowlers are in Rockford at Cherry Lanes for the IHSA State Girls Bowling Championships. The top 12 from today advance to tomorrow’s finals.
The Salem team advanced out of the SI Bowl Carterville Sectional last weekend. Their team consists of Seniors Olivia Paulson, Jaeda Rollinson, Elena Vanhoutin and Kialee Hardin; Sophomores Willow Amburgey, Ava Birch and Mallory Hopkin; and Freshman Brooklyn Hamilton. They are coached by Steve Ludwig and Maliyah Hamilton.
Also competing as teams are Collinsville, Mascoutah, O’Fallon and Taylorville. Individually competing are Macy Jones of Vandalia and Mia Neighbors of Freeburg.
