Annies Upset CM, Will Get Top Seed Effingham In Salem 3a Regional Finals

B.E. Gum was the site last night for the 3a IHSA regional semifinals in prep girls basketball.  The sectionals top-seed Effingham looked the part last night as they eliminated Triad easily 55-34.  They advance to Friday’s finals where they get Centralia.  The 5^th seeded Annies opened with an upset of #3 Civic Memorial 62-50.

In 4a semifinals at Collinsville, Alton over Granite City 83-15 and Edwardsville beat the hosts 59-35.  At O’Fallon, the hosts beat Belleville West 65-22 and Belleville East lost to Quincy 68-30.
