Centralia City Firemen were called to the Wendy’s Restaurant at 920 West Broadway Saturday morning after smoke began filling the food preparation area.
Employees evacuated the building before firemen arrived. Firemen found the problem in the prep table that apparently had an electrical short. They shut off power to the unit and allowed employees to return inside.
Firemen report there were no customers inside the restaurant when the call came in around 10:30 Saturday morning.
