Nashville Heading To Class M Title Game….Citians Prepare For Thursday’s Class S Semifinals

The Nashville junior high Hornets are into the Class M state finals after winning their semifinal game at Rend Lake College last night 37-27 over Gallatin County.  They will play on Friday night against Joseph Arthur Middle School who beat Aviston 64-46.  The 3rd place game starts Friday at 6 followed by the 7:30 title game.

 

The Central City Citians look to continue their 30 game winning streak tomorrow when they take on St Mary Catholic Alton in the Class S state semifinals.  You can listen to the game starting at 6pm on WJBD.  Central City is coming off a 64-25 win over Tamaroa-St Bruno and St Mary beat Altamont Lutheran 50-45.  The other semifinal is Our Lady of Mount Carmel taking on St Peter and Paul Catholic.

 

The Class L Tournament opens on Saturday at 9:30 with Casey Mount Vernon and Marion followed by Trico and Mt Carmel, then Centralia and Belleville West at noon followed by Carbondale and Belleville Whiteside.
