The Centralia Tigers beat Franklin Park in their Class L Regional championship last night 74-23 in Centralia.  Kenny Bratton scored all 22 of his points in the first half to lead the Tigers.  Treyten Branch added 14.  Salem was led by Kyler King with 7 and Silas Lux added 6.

Also last night in Class L title games, Carbondale beat Carterville 54-43 and Belleville West over Belleville Central 56-48.  They all advance to the opening round of State at Rend Lake College next Saturday.

The Class M boys state tournament opens today at Rend Lake.  Nashville and Chester will tip off at 3:30, followed by Unity Point School and Gallatin County at 4:45, Sesser-Valier plays Aviston at 6 and then Joseph Arthur plays Woodlawn at 7:15.  The state semifinals will be held on Tuesday and the trophy games Friday night.

Tomorrow is the opening round of the Class S state tournament.  I’ll have the call of the opening game from Rend Lake at 9:30 when the Citians of Central City take on Rome.  The game will be broadcast on WJBD and online at WJBDradio.com.
