Centralia Police have released details on a Friday night crash at Broadway and Brookside that resulted in an injury to one of the passengers.

Police reports indicate the crash occurred when a 17-year-old Salem juvenile boy was traveling eastbound on Broadway when it began to make a left-hand turn onto Brookside in front of a westbound car on Broadway driven by 34-year-old Heather Littrell of James Street in Centralia.

Both drivers escaped injury, but a 16-year-old female passenger from Salem in the juvenile male’s SUV was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries.   It was later determined she had a fractured back that will require a brace.  A 15-year-old male juvenile passenger from Salem in the same vehicle later was taken to the hospital by a family member for torn leg ligaments.   A 30-year-rold Bluford man, Dalton Bressler of Poplar Street, who was a passenger in the other car was not hurt.

The crash occurred at 7:48 Friday night.
