The Salem Wildcat Bowlers open up the IHSA State Bowling Championships today with the opening round hosted by O’Fallon. Salem is trying to defend last year’s state title. They are joined locally by Mount Vernon, Carterville, Herrin and Harrisburg along with the host Panthers. The top-12 teams will advance to the finals tomorrow.
