The Salem Invitational Tournament tips off tonight with a pair of games on WJBD. First at 6pm, to top-seed Centralia Orphans take their 19-1 record against Effingham who limps in at 2-19. Then in the 2nd game of the night, 5-12 Salem will take to the court against Champaign Central who enters at 8-10. Both games can also be streamed at WJBDradio.com.
Effingham will be coming in to action tonight following a loss at Dieterich last night79-62. In the win for the Maroons, Caleb Gephart scored his 1000th point early in the 3rd quarter. He needed 11 and scored 16 on the night. Also in the win, Dieterich got 24 points each from Landen Keck and Lucas Westendorf. Cannon Bockhorn had 24 and KJ Kellams 17 for the Hearts.
