A 44-year-old Salem man has received a three-year prison term after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to unlawful possession of five to 15 grams of methamphetamine.

Ronald Potter of Watson Lane will serve the sentence concurrently with one handed down in St. Clair County Court.

As part of the plea, Potter is recommended for substance abuse treatment.  He’ll also get day-for-day credit for time already served in the Marion County Jail.  A charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon was dropped.
