The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports a 35-year-old Michigan man escaped with only minor injuries following a Friday morning crash blamed on the snowy conditions.
Deputies report Jorge Quintana of Haslett, Michigan was traveling southbound on I-57 at mile marker 129 about two miles north of Kinmundy when he got blinded by the snow while traveling behind a semi. Quintana said he veered off the left side of the road when he could no longer see and went down an embankment.
Kinmundy-Alma Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Quintana declined medical treatment.
The crash occurred at 5:15 on Friday morning.
