Vandalia: The Christ Our Rock Stallions fell in the Vandalia Tournament championship falling to Shelbyville 67-44. Vandalia beat Greenville in the 3rd place game 68-61, Nokomis over Macon Meridian for 5th place 66-61, Flora won the 7th place game over Okaw Valley 75-54 and Pana beat Cumberland for 9th place 51-28.
Mater Dei: The Mater Dei final day is today. The championship at 8:30 will see Breese Central and Red Bay, Alabama. Central beat Nashville last night 46-26 and Red Bay over Wesclin 46-37. Mascoutah will play Mater Dei in the 5th place game after Mascoutah beat Bowen 69-24 and Mater Dei over Orchard Farm 62-58. In the Bronze Bracket, Metro East Lutheran beat Wethersfield 62-50 and will play for 9th place today against McCluer who beat Riverview Gardens 53-40.
Freeburg/Columbia: The Freeburg/Columbia title went to the host Eagles after beating Alton Marquette 46-35 in the title game last night. Civic Memorial was 3rd beating Waterloo 66-48. Freeburg beat Nelson County, Kentucky in the 5th place game 52-44 and in the 7th place game, Gibault beat the JV of Columbia 50-38.
TTown/Effingham: The Teutopolis/Effingham Tournament will finish up today. The championship is at 7:30 tonight with Lincoln Way East taking on Champaign Centennial. Dixon and Lutheran North play in the 3rd place game at 6. The consolation title game is at 4:30 with Newton taking on Mattoon, TTown and Oak Lawn play for 7th, Highland and St Anthony are in the 5th place game. Charleston and Seneca will play for 13th place and Belvidere and Effingham for 15th.
