A 53-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for felony theft.
Angela Briones of South Sycamore is accused of taking a purse and other items from a home she was hired to clean on Woods Lane in rural Centralia.
The owner of the home reported the theft on November 20th. The sheriff’s department’s investigation concluded with Briones being brought to the Marion County Jail on Saturday. She was later released on a notice to appear in court under the new cashless bail law.
The sheriff’s department reports Briones is accused of stealing $250 to $300 in cash, jewelry and a watch, as well as debit cards that were used to make at least two charges totaling $475.
