The Selmaville Rockets took 2nd at the Bethel Christmas Round Robin Tournament falling to the champions from Germantown 35-31. Gavin Harper led Selmaville with 14. Tournament MVP Griffin Korte led Germantown with 20 points. Jaxon Ward was named to the All-Tournament team and the Rockets cheerleaders brought home 1st place tying in score with Bethel-McClellan.
North Wamac/Irvington fell to Cairo 60-40 to finish 5th in tournament play. Cooper Teaff had 31 in the win and was named All Tournament. He was the tournaments leading scorer with 118 total points over 5 games, an average of 20.6. He was joined on the All Tournament team by Selmaville’s Ward, Bethel-McClellan’s Gavin Hooper, Cairo’s Jakawon Mcallister, Germatnown’s Sam Hemker as well as Korte the MVP.
Teaff also finished 3rd in the 3-point contest. Lucas Cook of Germantown won the event making 8, Bethel’s Anthony Turner made 7 and Teaff made 5.
