One person was injured Monday morning in a three vehicle rear-end collision on Illinois Route 161 in front of Bryan Manor in Centralia.
Centralia Police say a pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Jacob Little of East 2nd Street in Centralia was eastbound when he failed to slow for traffic stopped in front of him. He first hit the rear of a pickup truck driven by 67-year-old Cheryl Schollenderger of Ashley, pushing it into a car driven by 28-year-old Destini Cooper of Rantoul that was waiting to make a left turn into Bryan Manor.
Cooper was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital by Lifestar Ambulance for treatment of head and neck injuries.
Little was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 7:16 Monday morning.
