The Centralia City Council Monday night approved the reconstruction of a section of Sunset Drive.
City Manager Kory Smith explained the scope of the project.
“Improvements include removal and replacement of concrete pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer and other miscellaneous work to complete the project. 3 bids were submitted for this project with the low bid coming from 618 Silicone Tracking, LLC in the amount of $205,521
Smith says money will be included in next year’s budget to pay for the project.
The council approve a new turbine pump at the water plant from Missouri Machinery and Engineering at a cost of $43,863.
Unpaid water and sewer bills from more than ten years ago totaling $2,995 were written off as uncollectable.
The council approved tax increment financing district payments on two projects. The Villas at Centralia Heritage Woods will receive $15,106. Country Bob, Inc. will receive $37,218.
