An 18-year-old Centralia man was injured in a single-car crash late Wednesday night at the Airport and Walnut Hill intersection southeast of Centralia.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Skyler Cooley-Koonz was southbound on Airport Road when he failed to negotiate a turn, went through two ditches on the north side of Walnut Hill Road, went onto the Walnut Hill Road and overturned, before skidding through the ditch on the south side of the Walnut Hill Road and coming to a stop on all four wheels in a field.
Cooley-Koontz was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia by Life Star Ambulance for treatment of injuries. The Centralia Fire Protection District was also called to assist.
The crash was first reported to Centralia Police at 11:37 Wednesday night.
