Two Centralia residents have been formally charged in Marion County Court on Monday with felony criminal trespass to a home with persons present.
30-year-old Alyssa Chapman and 35-year-old Nathan Page of North Sycamore Street are both accused of entering a home on D’Ann Drive in Centralia on Saturday morning.
Centralia Police say Chapman was armed with a knife and stole two cell phones that were later located in a nearby ditch. Page reportedly was armed with a baseball bat and took $200 from one of the residents.
While the Police were investigating, Page showed up at the Centralia Police Station where he said the incident was a big misunderstanding. Someone later dropped off Chapman at the police station. She would not come inside but was taken into custody outside without incident.
Probable cause was found to charge both suspects and public defenders were appointed to represent them. The prosecution did not seek to hold the two without bond.
