A 20-year-old Odin man has been sentenced in Marion County Court to three years in prison after his probation was revoked on two counts of aggravated battery.
Noah Meredith of Oak Street had a new charge of aggravated battery to a person over the age of 60 dropped as part of the plea agreement.
Meredith had been on probation for a February incident where he stabbed his roommate with a knife and a June incident where he spit on a Marion County Jail Correctional Officer who was moving him between cells.
Meredith received a three-year DOC sentence on each of the petitions to revoke probation, with the time to run concurrently. He’ll have to serve one year of mandatory supervised release when getting out of prison. He was given credit for time already served.
