The Salem Lady Wildcats will play their 2nd pool play game of the DuQuoin Tip Off Tournament tonight when they take on Murphysboro in the main Anders Gym at 6pm on 100.1 FM and WJBDradio.com. Following that game, Sesser Valier will play Pinckneyville. In the Auxiliary gym at 6pm it’s DuQuoin and Cairo followed by Christopher and Woodlawn at 7:30.
The SC Lady Cougars are 0-2 after a 55-39 loss at Casey Westfield. Taegan Webster had 19 in the loss. Kaitlyn Swift added 7. Megan Cribelar had 14 for Casey and Julia Eckerty added 10.
Last night in prep girls basketball, Anna beat Carbondale 64-31, Carterville over West Frankfort 59-23, ST Anthony routed Dieterich 61-34, Greenville beat Triad 37-29, Harrisburg 68-31 over Gallatin County, Mount Vernon got a nice win over TTown 67-52, Mt Zion 60-34 over Springfield Southeast, Newton beat Fairfield 42-21, Nokomis over Litchfield62-16, Olney got passed Pana 46-40, Marion lost to Vienna 62-26.
