The prep boys season tips off next week for some area teams.  The Salem Wildcats will have to wait until next Friday to get things going at the 35th annual Capital Classic with pool play games at Red Hill against TTown, the hosts and Olney.

Starting on Monday, the Centralia Orphans will open up at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Tournament.  Centralia will have pool play games with Staunton and Freeburg.   Also playing in the tournament are Gibault, Roxana, Jerseyville, Carbondale, Southwestern, Civic Memorial, Marquette, Gateway Legacy and Wood River.

Patoka/Odin will open their season on Monday as well in the 49th annual Christopher Turkey Tournament.  They will get the hosts in the first round of bracket play.

At the Cumberland Thanksgiving Tournament, the North Clay Cardinals will play on Tuesday in the first round of bracket play against Cumberland.  Also playing are Newton, Vandalia, Casey, Okaw Valley, Dieterich and Marshall.

Sandoval opens up Monday at the Elverado Turkey Tournament with a first round matchup against Galatia.

South Central will open up at the Mulberry Grove Turkey Tournament on Monday with pool play games against Father McGivney, Lebanon and CHBC.

Christ Our Rock opens up Monday at the Wesclin Tip Off Classic with 3rd ranked Columbia before games with Nashville, Mater Dei and Wesclin.

Breese Central will open Monday in the St Anthony Turkey Tournament with pool play games against Champaign Central, Mattoon and Robinson.  St Anthony will play in a pool with Rantoul, Belleville East and Effingham.

The Kaskaskian in Carlyle will open up next Saturday.  Flora, Okawville, Pinckneyville and Woodlawn are in Pool A.  Carlyle, Greenville, Hillsboro and SIUE Charter are in Pool B.
