The Salem Bobcats take their 1-1 varsity record to the Marion Shootout today along with the JV. The day begins at 11:30 with Marion and Salem JV followed at 12:45 by the varsity game. Then at 2pm it’s the Salem v. Herrin JV followed at 3:15 by the varsity contest.
Yesterday, North Wamac-Irvington took 3rd at the Centralia St Mary’s Tournament beating Trinity Lutheran 47-16. Cooper Teaff scored 29 in the win to help NWI get to 4-4 on the season. Teaff was named 1st Team All Tournament. Malakai Teitsort finished with 11.
Odin fell to New Horizon at St Mary’s 41-28. In the loss, Brady Haines led Odin with 15, Lance Nix finished with 10. Both made the All Tournament team along with teammates Lance Nix and Kyler Hodge.
