The Columbia Eagles dropped their state soccer semifinal at Hoffman Estates losing to Normal University 2-0. The Eagles will play for 3rd place today at noon against Peoria Christian, who lost to North Shore Country Day in the other semifinal 2-0. The 1a State Championship will be played on Saturday at 2:30.
The 2a and 3a state semifinals are today. At 1:30 in 2a, Rochester takes on Crystal Lake South followed by Peoria Notre Dame and Burbank St Laurence.
Then the 3a semifinals begin at 6pm with Lyons LaGrange against Naperville North followed by New Trier and Glenbrook North.
