Today is the SIJHSAA State Cross Country Meet. In the Class S Girls Race, Selmaville and New Horizon will represent the region as teams. Also individually will be Raccoon’s Scout Amason, Kinley Blair of Central City, Madalynn Wethington and Kierstyn Pender of Trinity St Mary’s, Liahnna Smith of Irvington/North Wamac.
In the Class L girls race, the region representatives are Fairfield, Franklin Park and Olney. Also individually will be Casey Mount Vernon’s Mira Rich as well as Emma Casseday of Centralia.
In the Class S Varsity Boys race the region teams are New Horizon and Selmaville. Individually running will be Kolton Cook of Central City, Odin’s Archer Bechdoldt, Preston Kroening of Altamont Lutheran, Gibson Collins and Will Vincent of Iuka.
In the Class L Varsity Boys race it will be the 2-time defending champion Franklin Park Bobcats running as a team along with Olney and Centralia. Also individually will be Casey Mount Vernon’s Liam Brandon and Kyson Rich.
