A 24-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to three years in prison after his probation was revoked on a prior burglary conviction.
Michael Mercier of North Broadway will serve the prison time concurrently with a Jefferson County sentence handed down on an unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon charge. Mercier’s probation was revoked based on being arrested on the new weapons charge.
Mercier was also ordered to serve six months of mandatory supervised release when getting out of prison. He will also be given credit for time served.
The original burglary conviction was for breaking into a car in Salem.
