Dateline NBC Thursday night will provide a one-hour report on the disappearance of a Fairfield teen found dead three years later. The episode is titled ‘The Note’ and tells the story of Fairfield High School student and cheerleader Megan Nichols who vanished from her home overnight with her mother finding a note says she ran away. But a grisly discovery of her body made three years later changes the course of the investigation and the eventual arrest of Brodey Murbarger in 2020. He was later convicted of the murder earlier this year and sentenced to 50 years in prison. Thursday’s all-new Dateline features exclusive interviews with Megan’s mother, investigators, and the college student who helped uncover the truth.
The show will air on NBC at nine Thursday (tonight) night.
