The National Trail Conference baseball tournament semifinals were yesterday. Altamont knocked off South Central 8-0. In the loss, Colton Smith had a single, Callaway Smith added 2 hits and Hudson Moore also singled. The Cougars made 4 errors in the game costing them 6 earned runs. Brody Markley went 5 innings allowing 7 hits and 5 runs, only 2 earned, with 4 strikeouts and 5 walks.
The Indians will get St Anthony in the finals after their 4-1 win over North Clay. The 3rd place game will be Friday afternoon at 4pm followed by the title game.
