A 43-year-old Centralia woman has been sentenced to seven days in the Marion County Jail for contempt of court after allegedly showing up in court under the influence.
Judge Josh Morrison sent Scenica Wilson of East 4th to the probation office to submit to a drug screen after finding that she was ‘clearly under the influence of something’.
Court records indicate Wilson tested positive for methamphetamine. The judge entered the contempt finding for behavior in court while waiting on case to be called when she was returned from probation.
The state’s attorney’s office indicated they would file a petition to revoke her probation on the original conviction of aggravated battery to a nurse. Wilson had come to court for an update on payment of fines and fees in that case.
Wilson is due back in court October 10th for a status hearing.
