The Franklin Park Bobcats were 3 outs away from another regional baseball championship leading 4-0 in the top of the 7th over Benton. But the Rangers scored 7 times in the final inning to knock off the Bobcats 7-4. Salem committed 3 errors in the game and outhit Benton 7-2.
Kyler King and Trenton Shelton tripled with doubles from Silas Lux and Huck Mulvaney as Salem scored 3 times in the third inning and added another in the bottom of the sixth to take that 4-0 lead. King, Huck Mulvaney and Lux drove in runs along with Shelton. Owen Tennyson had 2 hits, Kai Graham singled and scored.
King struck out 11 and allowing no hits and 2 earned runs in his 6 innings of work.
