Police Beat for Monday, September 18th, 2023

A 19-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for alleged aggravated domestic battery and battery to an unborn child.  Tavis Parsakis of Edgebrook Drive was taken to the Marion County Jail.

18-year-old Triston Nix of Salem Mobile Home Park was arrested for alleged domestic battery, unlawful possession of a firearm, defacing ID arms on a gun, and not having a FOID card.  Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Nix allegedly got into a confrontation with his girlfriend at her home on Sunday night.   She told deputies Nix allegedly had the gun in the closet, which led to the weapons charges.

Salem Police arrested 41-year-old Eva Potter of North College Street in Salem for alleged domestic battery to another occupant of the home.  The two apparently were arguing over a cell phone.

Centralia Police arrested 45-year-old Christopher Ramey of East 6th in Centralia for alleged domestic battery.

A 26-year-old Wamac man, Coleman Ross of Gompers Street, turned himself in on an outstanding Clay County traffic warrant.  He was released after posting $500 bond.
