The Selmaville Running Rockets attended the Summersville Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday where 30 local Schools were represented.
The JV girls had strong finishes with Karmen Murray leading the pack at 7:48, Gabby Harper (2nd-7:52), Kenna Benjamin (5th-8:20), Kamora Sexton (7th-8:25), Gia Ward(8th-8:27), Gabby Gaston(10th-8:29), and McKenzie Mulvany(16th-8:46). The JV team earned 1st place.
The JV boys notched 2nd place with strong finishes by Rafe James (2nd-7:33), Ryder Lawson (5th-7:55). Other finishers included Max Bookhout, Greyson James, and Zeke Thompson.
For the Varsity girls, Carly Veach was the top finishers in 5th place at 11:01. For the varsity boys, Noah Gaston was 4th at 9:36 and Gavin Harper 25th at 10:38.
