Police Beat for Thursday, September 14th, 2023

Centralia Police have arrested 46-year-old Jesse Wallace of South Sycamore Street in Centralia for domestic battery and unlawful restraint.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a first appearance in court.

Centralia Police arrested 56-year-old Kurtis Zimmerman of Dimick Street in Centralia for possession of methamphetamine and felony driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Salem Police arrested 64-year-old Jerry Russell of Glenwood Acres of Salem for violation of an order of protection after getting a complaint from the protected party that he was stalking them.

A 24-year-old Salem woman was taken to the Marion County Jail on a failure to appear in court warrant on two pending counts of unlawful delivery of under five grams of methamphetamine.   The bond for Shelby Futch of West Warmoth Street is set at $40,000.

Salem Firemen report a small fire started in the exhaust system of a food truck being worked on in the parking lot of Liberty Appliance on West Main Street in Salem just before noon on Wednesday.   The problem was a bird’s nest built in the exhaust system hood.   A panel had to be taken off the system to reach the fire and put it out.
