Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps says the normal security entrance on the east side of the courthouse will be closed on Wednesday for installation of new handicapped-accessible doors. The old doors had been damaged in an earlier storm and the county has been awaiting the delivery of the new doors.
Cripps says as a result of the sidewalk and east doors being closed off for the work, all visitors and employee traffic coming in and out of the courthouse will need to be through the west entrance. He reports security will be established at the west doors until the work is completed.
Cripps is hopeful the work will be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday.
