Centralia Police have arrested 41-year-old Robert Poe of South Poplar in Centralia for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia Police arrested 30-year-old Todd Peace of Meadowbrook Lane in Centralia on two counts of domestic battery. He was also taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia Police arrested 30-year-old Michelle Hester of East Olive in Salem for alleged obstructing ID and resisting arrest. She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bond after her first appearance in Marion County Court on Friday.
33-year-old Jessica Walton of Trenton was arrested by State Police at the courthouse on Thursday on a Marion County felony warrant for vendor fraud. She posted $1,000 cash bond and was released.
47-year-old Curtis Scott of North Beech in Centralia was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at the courthouse on Thursday on a Marion County felony failure to appear in court warrant on a pending possession of methamphetamine case. He remained in custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Salem Firemen were called to the Hucks Convenience Store on West Main Friday night when a wiring between an inverter and the engine of a pickup truck shorted out and caught fire. The fire was quickly knocked down by a Salem police officer who was first on the scene with a fire extinguisher. The vehicle reportedly sustained minor damage. The call came in at 6:24 Friday evening.
