The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats softball team will host Odin today. Yesterday, the Lady Bobcats overcame a 5-run, 7th inning deficit to walk-off with a 9-8 win over Vandalia. The final inning was setup with 4 straight walks to score a run followed by an Allison Thurman rbi single and Kendall Zimmermann sac fly to cut the lead to 1. Then Emma Lipe came through with a 2-run single to win the game. Abigail Thompson was the starting pitcher and struck out 6 with Thurman getting the win in relief. At the plate, Thurman drove in 2 with RBI also from Quinn Wolfe and Maci Susmena. The Salem JV will host Odin this afternoon.
Selmaville made it 6 wins in a row with their 12-1 win over Iuka at the Little League Complex in a battle of the top two teams in the OBC. Talya Gowler drove in 2 runs with a double and triple. Samara Simmons also had 2 RBI along with Brylee Carter. Kaolin Lewis doubled home a run as well. Keira Meredith notched her 8th win with just 1 loss. She struck out 11 and allowed no earned runs and 2 hits. Selmaville is 10-2 and will be off until Wednesday when they host Rome.
Trinity/St Mary Defenders improved to 5-1 with their 15-0 win over Raccoon. Emrie Quick threw a perfect game striking out 7 of the 9 batters. Devyn Dodillet led the offense with a triple and 3 RBI, Quick added a double also driving in 3, Rylie Neuhaus tripled home 2 runs, Raylynn Parker had a hit and 2 RBI.
The SC Lady Falcons are in action today at Vandalia after blowing out Beecher City 15-0. Addy Ruholl threw the 3 inning no-hitter. At the plate, SC pounded out 16 hits in 3 innings. Maddi Peddicord drove in 3 runs with 2 each from Emmie Ruholl and Kyndl Bolen.
