The wait is over. Tonight is the Shrine Football Game as the Salem Wildcats host the Centralia Orphans to Jim Finks Field. Last year, the Orphans got off to a fast start on their way to a 35-14 win at Evers Field. In that game, however, Salem outgained Centralia 445-343 in a shootout. Salem is also trying to rebound from what was a disappointing 2-7 campaign and will have plenty of opportunities early in their schedule with 4 of their first 5 games at Jim Finks Field.
Due to the heat, tonight’s kickoff has been moved back to an 8pm start. Gates will open at 6:30. If you can’t make it, we will have every down for you tonight and every Friday night on 100.1 FM and streaming at WJBDradio.com.
Tickets will be on sale again this morning from 8:30-10:30 in the front lobby at the high school for those who still need tickets.
