Homeless Kinmundy man arrested on meth delivery charges

A 43-year-old homeless Kinmundy man who has been staying in Centralia has been arrested on four delivery of methamphetamine charges.

William Jeromy Prosise was taken into custody without incident Wednesday morning in the 700 block of North Cherry Street in Centralia by agents of the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.

Prosise was arrested on one Class X Delivery of Methamphetamine charge, two Class 1 felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine and a Class 2 felony charge of delivery of methamphetamine.

Prosise was taken to the Marion County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.  The investigation remains ongoing.  No further information is currently being released.

The Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force is comprised of the Salem Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the Robinson Police Department, the Mount Carmel Police Department, and the Illinois State Police.  The investigation was a cooperative effort among the area police departments in an effort to curb drug usage and violence in the area.
