A 35-year-old Salem woman has been arrested for possession of meth and obstructing justice.  Charissa Plumb of South Broadway was taken into custody following a traffic stop by State Police.

28-year-old Timothy Rogers of South Hickory in Centralia was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Clinton County warrant.  He was released on $1,000 bond.

26-year-old Nathan Bailey of North Poplar in Centralia was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at the courthouse on Monday for alleged contempt of court.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

The Salem Fire Protection District was called out twice early Tuesday morning for what turned out to be false alarms.  The first call was to Helia Health Care on Hawthorn Road in Salem where the fire alarm sounded in what was later determined to be a malfunction.   The department was also called out to McDonald’s Restaurant as they were opening before six Tuesday morning after an employee believed she smelled smoke.  No problem could be found.
