Salem Police have arrested a 31-year-old Flora woman for felony theft following an investigation into the theft of an iPhone left sitting on a counter at the Casey’s Store on South Broadway in Salem.
Salem Police Detectives with help from the phone that indicated it had been taken into Clay County and assistance from Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies who were able to identify Shannon Lewis of West Fourth from video surveillance obtained from Casey’s helped resolve the case.
Lewis was arrested and taken into custody and to the Marion County Jail on Wednesday. The theft occurred on July 22nd.
The phone has also been recovered after it was found abandoned in the bathroom of the Casey’s General Store in Louisville. It has been returned to the owner.
