A 17-year-old Hoffman teen has been charged as an adult in connection with a fatal car-motorcycle accident south of Greenville in Bond County over the weekend.
State Police say 40-year-old Jason Boaz of Greenville was pronounced dead on the scene after his motorcycle collided with a car that is believed to have crossed the centerline of Illinois Route 127 near Airport Road south of Greenville early Saturday morning.
The driver of the car, Elise Johnston, was charged as an adult in Bond County Court for alleged aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol involving a death. The charge is a Class Two felony.
Bond was set at $150,000. Johnston was later released on $15,000 cash bond.
The crash occurred at 1:20 Saturday morning.
