The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in connection with a shooting at a home in the 300 block of Ninth Street in Nason on August 4th.
25-year-old Leif X. Booker is accused of shooting another resident of the home, 55-year-old Jerry Collins, with a shotgun.
By the time the sheriff’s department arrived on the scene the day of the incident, Booker had left the scene. He turned himself in late Monday afternoon. Booker was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm and on an unrelated warrant. He was being held in the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Center pending further court action.
