A 33-year-old Salem woman has been arrested in connection with a June home invasion in Centralia. Carolene Higgins of Olive Street is accused of entering the home in Centralia without permission.
She has been formally charged in Marion County Court with felony criminal trespass to property and misdemeanor battery.
The alleged victim said she woke up to see Higgins standing in the doorway. Higgins then allegedly began screaming at her about having a relationship with her boyfriend. The victim was then allegedly attacked and had her hair pulled before Higgins was pushed away and left.
Police say while injuries were documented to the victim, no medical treatment was received.
Salem Police arrested Higgins on Monday for Centralia Police while investigating another incident on West Boone Street.
