A 54-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested for felony retail theft by Salem Police. Cindy Britt of Wabash Avenue is accused of taking $264 in clothing from the Salem Walmart Store.
The Salem Fire Protection District reports a faulty smoke detector led to it sounding at the Jared Hunter home on the 300 block of North Washington in Salem late Wednesday night. The family evacuated until firemen assured them there was no fire.
