Both occupants of a vehicle that ran off the Green Street Road at the Dunbar Road intersection east of Central City on Monday were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports 46-year-old Amy Barnes of Lindell Avenue in Odin ran off the right side of the road, struck the roadside ditch. The vehicle came to a stop on its side.
Both Barnes and passenger, 24-year-old Alexis Beard of the same Odin address, were both taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia by Life Star Ambulance. One of the two had to be extricated by the Centralia Fire Protection District.
The crash occurred at 11:18 Monday morning.
