Centralia High School has resumed the Senior Career Fair after a several-year absence due to COVID-19.
Principal Reid Shipley hopes the event connects the students to local employers.
I do want to thank the businesses that have participated in today’s career fair. Because I think it’s a wonderful event for our seniors. It opens their eyes to a lot of career opportunities that they may not have thought about in the past. It also opens eyes to some internships or even College reimbursement-type programs once they are hired on. For some of our seniors, there may be some immediate job opportunities.”
Those giving presentations included the largest employers in the area, healthcare facilities, and other businesses. Centralia Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marcus Holland discussed how to start your own business with the students.
